“Perseverance to Build Community” with Miku Narisawa and moderated by José Barzola

Join us to explore the meaning of “peace” from Miku’s experiences with natural disasters and how the community in Hawaiʻi guided her journey to find her passion. Miku Narisawa is an alumni of the Matsunaga Institute who will talk about her community building work in an island community in Miyagi, Japan where they are facing challenges of preserving aquaculture, natural landscape, and people from climate change.
