Co-understanding SDGs in Bangladeshi neighbourhoods: The potentials of creative learning tools for recognizing urban challenges

This event will share the experience of SHLC regarding how board games and gifts could be effective for co-understanding challenges related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The event will highlight on a board game and a gift item co-developed through research and stakeholder participation with an aim to raise awareness about SDGs and promote thinking regarding SDGs. The event will introduce these two tools and share stories about the effectiveness of these two interactive learning tools in generating community awareness and understanding regarding SDG 3, 4 and 11.
The GCRF Centre for Sustainable, Healthy and Learning Cities and Neighbourhoods (SHLC) is an international consortium of nine research partners aiming to strengthen capacity to address urban, health and education challenges in neighbourhoods across fast-growing cities in Africa and Asia. Our partners include: University of Glasgow, Human Sciences Research Council, Ifakara Health Institute, Khulna University, Nankai University, National Institute of Urban Affairs, University of Rwanda, University of the Philippines Diliman, University of the Witwatersrand.
